MAP - 353 Clinical Procedures I MAP - 353 Clinical Procedures I (4 s.h.) This course prepares the student to assist the physician with examinations, treatments and diagnostic procedures. The course includes first aid, aseptic technique, sterilizing instruments, and routine diagnostic tests. The course includes obtaining and recording patient data utilizing the electronic medical record including medical terminology. If the student is taking course work for the medical assistant curriculum beyond a one-year period, this course should be taken during the final year of the curriculum.
