MFG - 225 Machine Theory I MFG - 225 Machine Theory I (3 s.h.) This course covers the theory of basic machining processes involving layout, drill press, engine lathe, vertical mills, drills, saws, bench tools, measuring tools, and grinders. Classes will cover safety, tooling, metal removal methods, and various pieces of equipment. Safety is taught as it applies to each machine process. Proper terminology of the machinist trade is emphasized.
