PHY - 106 Survey of Physics PHY - 106 Survey of Physics (4 s.h.) This is an introductory, one semester course, treating a selection of important topics in physics. The current offering emphasizes light, electromagnetism, wave – particle duality in quantum mechanics and relativity. In connection with these themes, topics such as force and motion of particles, concept of energy, properties of waves, and history of physics are also considered. The course addresses general education skills of scientific literacy and critical thinking. A previous physics course is not required.
