AMG201 — History of Zoos and Alternative Facilities

1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. This course will cover the history, philosophy, purpose, and importance of zoological parks, aquariums, and alternative facilities such as conservation centers, propagation centers, and eco-parks. This course will also introduce the student to selected topics in zoo and animal management, and the keeper’s role within the various facilities.
