BIO109 — General Biology I
4 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. This course represents the first semester of a two‑semester study of topics in General Biology. Initial emphasis is placed on the chemistry of living organisms. This knowledge is applied to the second major area of study, the cell. General histology, molecular genetics, energy utilization, protein synthesis, cell structure, and general cellular metabolism will be discussed.
