CPS120 — Computer Science I

4 Cr. Per Week: 4 Lec. This first course in programming covers the fundamentals of computer problem solving and programming. Students will be expected to design, create, and debug programs in an integrated development environment. Topics include the program development process, programming methodologies, data types, variables, expressions, assignment, input, output, selection, iteration, functions, parameter passing and ethical issues in computing.
