CRJ103 — Introduction to Corrections

3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. The course will focus on the theory and practice of correctional institutions and their functions; the prison as a total institution; characteristics of various types of correctional facilities; problems of correctional methods, analysis of the prison community; adjustment to prison life; impact of institutionalization; corrections in the community and historical development.
