ECE100 — Learning Through Play
1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. Through play, children discover their own interests, abilities and limitations as they imagine, investigate and explore the world around them. This course examines the historical and contemporary perspectives of play in early learning and development as well as how play affects social and cognitive learning, executive function skills, and brain development in the context of current developmental theory. Emphasis is placed on practical strategies for creating play-based learning environments, hands-on experiences, and multi-cultural inclusiveness. Click here for the Class Schedule
