ELT110 — Principles of Electricity

4 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. Electrical circuit concepts including both direct and alternating current. Concepts studied include current, voltage, resistance, and energy; Kirchhoff’s Laws; series parallel network analysis; Delta wye; Thevenin, Norton, superposition and maximum power transfer theorems; circuit analysis using branch and loop current methods; time varying signals; average and rms values; energy storage elements; switching transients and voltage current relationships; complex numbers, phasors, and impedance.
