HRT184 — Plant Protection
3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. Designed to develop the student’s skills for diagnostic problem identification and understanding of potential prevention and treatment options in the horticultural industry. This course covers identification of various environmental; nutrient; and insect, disease and weed pest issues as well as cultural, non-chemical, organic and synthetic chemical pest management options. Emphasis is placed on integrated pest management, label comprehension, safety, environmental factors, pesticides, equipment, application techniques and laws and regulations.
