HUS114 — Introduction to Addictions: The Individual & Family

3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. This course introduces students to the problem of drug and alcohol addiction in general and to the individual and family with an addiction problem, in particular. Historical, cultural, social and psychological factors playing a role in the addiction process will be discussed. Primary emphasis in the course is given to family systems theory and its application to addictions.
