HUS255 — Adult Communication Disorders

2 Cr. Per Week: 2 Lec. This course examines typical communication and cognitive changes associated with aging and the characteristics, causes, and functional impacts of major adult communication disorders, including hearing loss, aphasia, motor speech, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders. Students explore interdisciplinary management, psychosocial and cultural considerations, and the effects of these disorders on daily life, relationships, and quality of life.
