LIT215 — American Literature Culture 1865-Present

3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. LIT 215 is a survey of creative responses to historical events from 1865 to the present. The focus of the course will be the literature of the period, but a variety of artistic responses will be examined as well, particularly art and music. The multi-faceted approach should give students a well-rounded understanding of American cultural history.
