LLC199 — Library Research Methods in the Social Sciences

1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. This course is designed to provide learning skills that will enable students to perform academic library research in the social sciences. Students will learn to locate print and electronic information sources, and construct effective search strategies using academic databases and web tools. Students will be familiarized with specialized databases and concepts pertaining to publication, storage and information retrieval in the social sciences. Students will develop proficiency in the APA, Turabian, or Chicago style format appropriate to their chosen discipline.
