MAS111 — Introduction to Massage Therapy
1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. This lecture course introduces students to the profession of massage therapy. Topics include a historical perspective of the field of massage therapy and its role in health care, as well as a survey of the various styles of bodywork. Students will receive instruction in the significance and implementation of Standard Precautions. Students will also develop research literacy as it applies to professional massage therapy practice. Note: This is not a hands-on course. Restricted to MAS students.
