MAS219 — Massage Therapy Modalities
1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. This lecture course is designed to present an overview of the most practiced massage therapy modalities not previously discussed. The following will be introduced in lecture: Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Energy Work, Infant/Pediatric Massage, Oncology Massage, Cupping, Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Active Isolated Stretching, Craniosacral Therapy, Positional Release Therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Pre-Natal Massage. This course is meant to introduce students to a variety of bodywork treatment options that are available for continuing education or advanced certification training after graduation. Restricted to MAS students.
