MED135 — Medical Ethics

1 Cr. Per Week: 1 Lec. This course will deal with the implications of law and ethics for the Allied Health professions. Topics will cover a wide range of legal and ethical issues that involve medical offices and hospitals. Students will discuss laws, O.S.H.A. rules and regulations, importance of laws for health professionals, public health/duties, consent, medical records, documentation/record keeping, cultural differences/legal aspects and bioethical issues.
