MET205 — Mechanics of Materials
3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. Concepts of stress and strain, normal stress, shear stress, axial loading, torsion, beams, combined loading and combined stresses, deflection of beams, principal stresses; theories of failures, welded, riveted and bolted connections, columns; introduction to experimental stress analysis methods, laboratory report writing and an oral presentation.
