MUS102 — Foundations of Music Theory
3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. This is an introductory course that presents the basics of musical notation. Topics covered include melodic and rhythmic notation, clefs, scales, key signatures, principles of rhythm, and chord symbols. The ability to read music notation is the course content. The course is recommended for the non-music major or students without previous music experience.
