NUR213 — Nursing Perspectives
2 Cr. Per Week: 2 Lec. The structure and nature of the nursing profession as it relates to today’s society is presented, including: historical perspectives, ethical and legal responsibilities, employment preparation, career opportunities, educational pathways and legislation affecting nursing practice. Additionally, patient advocacy, health care delivery patterns, nursing informatics, performance/quality improvement initiatives, concepts of management, research utilization, role transition and professional nursing organizations are also presented.
