PHY152 — Wave Motion, Heat and Light

4 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. Specific topics include Simple Harmonic Motion, traveling waves, standing waves, acoustics, thermometry, heat units, heat transfer, the Ideal Gas Law, the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, the heat engine, the refrigerator, the Carnot cycle, reflection, refraction, the optics of prisms and lenses and various interference effects.
