SLA101 — American Sign Language I

3 credits · 3 hours

3 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. This course is designed to provide a general understanding of the properties of sign language, basic vocabulary, basic understanding of deaf culture and their interrelatedness. Usually all, Spring, and Summer semesters General Education: Meets SUNY requirement for World Language (WLNG). SLA is accepted only for programs in education, health, or social services, where there is likely to be significant contact with the hearing impaired. Click here for the Class Schedule
