7 Cr. Per Week: 3 Lec. This course emphasizes the Surgical Technologist’s role to perform and facilitate safe and effective conduct in the didactic and clinical (off-campus experiences) components. It is vital to anticipate the surgeon’s needs, pass instruments, and provide sterile instrumentation, supplies, and equipment in an efficient manner. Clinical practice will employ general and various surgical specialties. Students will participate in the on-campus open practice laboratories.
