ELC - 231 Industrial Power Electronics ELC - 231 Industrial Power Electronics 8 Credit(s) Students will gain practical experience in working with power control devices and control circuits, including rectifiers, inverters, choppers, CSI, VSI, and PWM drives. Students will construct modular AC and DC Motor drives, using power control devices, then test, operate and troubleshoot the control circuits. Variable speed motor control will be examined with and without feedback. Concept, analysis, and applications of commercial industrial drives will be introduced.
