HSW - 131 Cross-Cultural Communication Skills in the Classroom HSW - 131 Cross-Cultural Communication Skills in the Classroom 3 Credit(s) HSW 131 focuses on the enhancement of cross-cultural communication skills necessary to become effective Educational Assistants and Community Support Workers working in Indigenous settings. Students will practice and demonstrate communication skills such as active listening, clarification and giving and receiving feedback non-defensively. Students will also learn cultural awareness skills to them strategize and analyze situations involving cross-cultural communication, conflict management and working in teams.
