NUR - 103 Professional Practice I: Introduction to the Profession of Nursing NUR - 103 Professional Practice I: Introduction to the Profession of Nursing 3 Credit(s) This course is an introduction to the profession of nursing. Participants examine the foundational concepts of the curriculum and how the concepts relate to nursing practice. Participants also explore the history of the profession of nursing and have the opportunity to explore and critically reflect upon the political and socioeconomic forces that have shaped the status of women in society and the evolution of the nursing profession. Standards of nursing practice and responsibility for safe and ethical nursing practice are also explored.
