PHI - 230 Contemporary Moral Issues PHI - 230 Contemporary Moral Issues 3 Credit(s) An examination of moral and social issues facing the contemporary world. Topics include animal and environmental ethics; conception and death in the medical context; hate literature and pornography; the ethics of violence. The principal aim is to teach students to think critically about their own views. To this end, philosophical attempts to apply various moral theories to these concrete problems will be assessed.
