SSW - 201 Family Relationships SSW - 201 Family Relationships 3 Credit(s) This course provides an overview of the family experience in contemporary Canadian society, with a focus on understanding diverse family structures and functions. Students will examine theories of family development and relationships, explore the impact of social issues on families, and consider how family experiences influence individual, family, and community well‑being. Emphasis is placed on applying strengths-based communication, trauma-informed practice, and case-management strategies to support diverse families.
