ENGL 100 - Academic Writing Add to My NLC Calendar ENGL 100 - Academic Writing (3.0 credits) This course introduces students to university-level academic writing across the disciplines, reflecting the kinds of written communication that occur in the humanities, social sciences, and/or natural sciences and leads to a greater understanding of the practices and voices that characterize academic communities. Writing and scholarly research skills may include critical summaries, literature and article reviews, academic proposals, annotated bibliographies, and final research essays. International students: “C” in English 12 or equivalent; or 6.0 IELTS writing band. ~
