GEOG 240 - Social Geography Add to My NLC Calendar GEOG 240 - Social Geography (3.0 credits) Social geography is defined as the study of social relations and the spatial structures that underpin those relations. (Jackson, 2000) This course first surveys social theories, then examines processes and patterns of social change in contemporary society. Issues such as work, housing and homelessness, gender, ethnicity, neighbourhood and community will be explored in both urban and rural settings. Other social science students welcome. ~
