This course offers an analysis of the ideology of deviance ? What is deviant, how much deviance exists, who defines deviance and what are the consequences of deviant behaviour. As a framework for this analysis, contemporary sociological theories of deviance are applied. Prerequisites: SOCI 101 - Introduction to Sociology I and SOCI 102 - Introduction to Sociology II , or consent of the instructor ~
