ARCH 250 — Architecture Design Studio IV

<p><span><span>This is the fourth and last course in the series focusing on r</span><span>esolution of more complex architectural programs with the context </span><span>of a community-wide environment using a</span><span> broad st</span><span>udy of a local rural community </span><span>narrowing to a study of the main hub of a</span><span>ctivity, usually &#39;Main Street&#39;</span><span>. </span><span>The course narrows </span><span>further to an individual architectural problem important to the co</span><span>mmunity and a </span><span>project sel</span><span>ected as subject of the semester examining</span><span> site analysis and </span><span>fundamental urban design issues. This includes</span><span> class publication illustrating class involvement and understan</span><span>ding of community design issues</span><span>. </span><span> </span><span>Specific emphasis on</span><span> a physical presence in the community with student drawing and mode</span><span>ls available to citizen review and </span><span>student interaction with members of the community.
