EMEC 247 — Instr Process Control & Meas Sys
Terminology, symbology, operation, connectivity of instrumentation, computers and human machine interface (HMI) used in the measurement and control of flow, level, temperature, pressure, pH, valves, transducers and transmitters as used in automated process control systems. Detailed theory and operation of flow, level, temperature and pressure measurements with minimal math background. Coreq.- EMEC 122 and prereq.- evidence of score of 500 or higher on SAT mathematics exam or 11th grade PSSA mathematics score of 1300 or higher, or completion of MATH026 or 028 with C or better or appropriate competence in MATH 150 as determined by the mathematics placement test, or permission of the instructor.
