ENGL 255 — American Literature II
Survey of major American writers from the Civil War to the present, including works of Cochise, Booker T. Washington, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Hughes, Williams, Sexton, Updike, Beattie, and Morrison. Emphasis is on texts but with attention to historical, cultural, and intellectual backgrounds. Prereq. - ENGL 151. Also Available through Online Learning. Core: AH.
