ESLL 138 — ESL Vocabulary IV

<p>Students with advanced knowledge of English will expand their vocabulary by 300 new words which they will learn to recognize and use in written and oral communication. Students will also improve and apply vocabulary-learning strategies, such as text analysis, understanding word families, recognizing synonyms and collocations, analyzing word parts, and using dictionaries. Students complete 15 hours of using ESL software as part of the requirements for this course. Formerly ESLL 038. Prereq.- English language competence as determined by the ESL departmnet through testing and/or course work.</p>

Prerequisites: ESLL-015, ESLL-018, ESLL-028
