INDS 225 — Residential Interior Design Studio

<p><span><span>In this course, students will learn how to a</span><span>ssembl</span><span>e</span><span> and harmoniz</span><span>e</span><span> furniture and decorative objects from the point of view of utility and beauty. </span><span>They will analyze</span><span> furniture arrangement and room composition, draperies and window treatments, and lighting. </span><span>Students will work through p</span><span>ractical problems illustrating the requirements of certain types of residential rooms. </span><span>The incorporation</span><span> of the computer </span><span>will be used </span><span>as a design tool. </span><span>Student</span><span>s</span><span> will prepare </span><span>written research and design position papers on assigned design problems and their solutions.</span><span> Offered Fall semester only.</span></span><span> </span></p>
