<p><span>This course provides students with an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in a structured, supervised work experience that supports a student’s chosen career field.</span><span> The i</span><span>nternships </span><span>provide</span><span> entry-level, career-related experiences, and workplace competencies that </span><span>employers</span><span> value when hiring new employees. Internships may also be used as an opportunity to explore career fields. </span><span>Students will </span><span>be required</span><span> to complete a minimum </span><span>of </span><span>1</span><span>5</span><span>0 hours</span><span> of internship work and will also be expected to attend </span><span>an orientation and concluding </span><span>meeting</span><span> as well as </span><span>complete assignments related to their internship experience.</span><span> </span></p>
