OSAH 110 — Hazardous Materials Safety

<p><span>This course discusses principles and best practices related to the identification and management of workplace hazardous materials. It will discuss hazardous waste materials and cover related regulatory awareness and responsibility per the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT)</span><span>. </span><span>Discussion will include labeling, handling, transportation, hazard communication</span><span>,</span><span> and </span><span>the </span><span>globally harmonized system (GHS)</span><span>. </span><span>It will further </span><span>provide</span><span> information related to hazardous materials releases and </span><span>subsequent</span><span> clean</span><span>-</span><span>up per the OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response standard (HAZWOPER). </span></p>
