AUT 225 — Automatic Transmissions
The history of the automatic transmission along with construction,theory and operation of the torque converter, planetary gears,clutches, bands and their applications will be discussed. Emphasis ondiagnosing and repair along with adjustments of the automatictransmission will be performed. Students will have the chance todiagnose and repair concerns on and off the vehicle. Corequisite: AUT223 or instructor’s permission. This is a 7.5 week course.
