DIM 125 — Suspension & Steering Systems1
Detailed analysis of the four main suspension systems used in thetrucking industry, walking beam, air, spring and torsion bar design.Troubleshooting and repair of these systems will be covered in detail.Maintenance of tire and wheel components along with wheel endadjustment, replacement and inspection procedures will be practiced.Front axle alignments and adjustments to toe angle will be practicedfor competency and accuracy. Introduction to equipment suspensionswill be introduced; tract and roller systems. Prerequisite: DIM 123. Thiscourse meets for 4 weeks.
