ELS 119 — Introduction to Electronic Systems
This course will introduce students to the basic concepts required tomaintain and troubleshoot electronic control systems. The coursebegins with a study of the relationships between current, voltage andresistance in both DC and AC systems, then progresses to acomparison of analog and digital measuring instruments. Electricalsafety, as well as an introduction to components used in industrialcontrol systems, will be presented next. The course concludes with anintroduction to schematic diagrams and troubleshooting techniquesused to maintain typical water and wastewater control systems.
