ELS 125 — Motors & Controls

Studies electric motors and how they are controlled. Units of study include:single phase motors; motor control basics; three phase motors and controlspecialty motors and control; power distribution and monitoring systems;and DC motors, generators and control. Laboratory exercises using real lifemotors and control devices help students gain practical experience withequipment they will encounter in the work environment. Prerequisites: ELS115 and ELS116
