ENG 227 — Advanced Composition
Students will review the writing process and the strategies fordrafting, revising and editing covered in English Composition. Studentswill continue to work on developing the ability to critically read andanalytically write papers that clearly express their ideas. Emphasis willbe on primary and secondary research skills and the use of MLA andAPA style documentation. Students will learn and practice the writingconventions used within their major area of study. The course willprepare students for upper-level course work in their majors, researchin the workplace, and/or transfer to four-year programs. Prerequisite:ENG 111
