HIT 216 — CPT Coding Part II

Integrates and builds on knowledge and skills gained in HIT116,enhancing the skill level by coding complex clinical case studies in theoutpatient setting utilizing complex CPT code assignments. Specialemphasis is placed on outpatient reimbursement issues includingRUGs, PACs, RBRVs, and E/M Coding. Concepts covered in the coursewill be reinforced in greater detail in the coding lab. Prerequisites: HIT114 and HIT 116; Corequisites: HIT 115 and HIT 214
