INS 110 — Instrumentation & Process Controls
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of processmeasurement and control systems. The course will begin with a studyof industrial instrumentation including pressure, level, flow andanalytical measurement systems. A thorough understanding of 4-20mA process signals will be provided as well as an introduction toPID process loop controllers. The course will conclude with anintroduction to motor speed control concepts including configurationand troubleshooting variable frequency drive systems. Prerequisite:ELS 119
