NUR 225 — Nursing Across the Lifespan II
Emphasis is placed on a holistic approach to the provision of nursingcare to diverse individuals throughout the lifespan experiencingcommon, well-defined health problems. Through the use of the nursingprocess as the mechanism for the delivery of nursing care, emphasis isgiven to the restoration and maintenance of an individual’s bio-psychosocial needs. Prerequisite(s): NUR 130, NUR 131, NUR 115, BIO211 and PSY101; Corequisite(s): NUR 228, BIO 218 and PSY 207 NUR 228 Clinical Practicum III / Across the Lifespan 4 credits / 12 lab hrs Clinical learning experiences in this course allow for advanced skills inpractice in lab and simulation and provision of holistic, evidence-basednursing care to diverse clients across the lifespan in a variety ofsettings. Clinical experiences are correlated with NUR 225 classroominstruction and promote the development of critical thinking andpriority-setting while providing compassionate, age and culturallyappropriate nursing care.
