PSYC 2333 — INTRODUCTION TO ADDICTIVE BEHAVIORS
This course is an introduction to the psychological, physiological, and sociological theories of substance abuse, alcohol, and other addictive behaviors. The course will cover the addiction process and its effects upon the individual, family, and society. Treatment strategy perspectives from the behavioral science, medical, and legal models will be introduced. Prerequisite: ENGL 1113 English Composition I. (Spring only) READING This course prepares students to master the skills necessary for critical reading and scientific reasoning.
