IRAA100 — AC/DC Electrical Concepts

5 credits · 5 hours

This course introduces the basic concepts of electrical theory as they apply to AC and DC circuits. Electrical measurements of voltage, current, and resistance are explained and applied in the lab to series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits. Concepts of power, energy, inductance, capacitance, and the phasor relationship between electrical signals are discussed and used in the lab setting to analyze, troubleshoot, and describe the operation of circuits, motors, and generators.
