MDET150 — Machining Technology Theory I

This course consists of learning machining related terminology used in the design and drawing of mechanical systems. Measuring systems, measuring tool usage, cutter types, and cutter geometry are studied and applied to mills and lathes to cut and study parts relating to the design of mechanical parts. Other instruments used include hand tools, measuring instruments, and bench grinders. Students will use shop math for problem solving.
