This program is offered in partnership with NIC's Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education division. It is specifically designed for students who have completed a state or federally-approved Heavy Equipment Apprenticeship program consisting of 6000 hours of on-the-job training and 557.5 hours of classroom instruction. The Heavy Equipment Operator Apprenticeship Program covers the foundational skills of safety, pre and post-operation checks, site planning and layout, and operations for a range of light-duty and heavy equipment.
